The writer is wondering where the games that push new boundaries are. A far as pushing new boundaries, Heavy Rain is a completely new gaming experience. LittleBigPlanet is like nothing ever done before; the level of allowed creativity and customizability is that game is insane!
MGS4, KZ2, and Halo 3 are all great, but they're really just polished versions of their last-gen brothers. Better graphics and more features, but not anything bold and industry changing.

Wow I can't believe people on here are saying U2 looks better than KZ2! A lot of KZ2 literally looks REAL like the lighting and guns. U2 looks amazing but none of it looks REAL. So much stuff in KZ2 looks as if you can reach out and touch but there's nothing like that in U2. Again, U2 looks amazing but KZ2 looks better... a lot better. You guys are so hyped for U2 than you're going blind. I'm super excited for U2 just as much as anyone else but c'mon. I'm not saying that KZ2 is a better game ...
I'm just glad ND is putting as much into U2 as they can! Halo 3's video feature was awesome and now U2 has it with %70 less screaming 12 year olds!
I never played ICO so a revamp would be great! I never played GoW 1 or 2 so that revamp is great too!
I've beaten it 5 times and got every achievement so I'm plenty capable of giving it a worthy score:

Campaign was mostly really good but a couple levels were really bad. Firefight sucks! It was painfully boring getting most of the firefight achievements. I'm never playing firefight again. So much for all of the reviewers saying firefight is the best version of the survival game mode. I play a level for about 30 minutes and then it's incredibly boring. Zombies own...
Apparently a 13 hour PS3 game is short but an 6-8 hour 360 game (just about EVERY 360 game) is just fine :/
Basically, they gave docked it 0.5 points for being longer than most games...
Seems similar to how IGN took 0.5 points off of U2 for it not explaining stealth that great... Yeah, that's really worth docking half a point for...
I haven't played GoW 1 or 2 and since my PS3 doesn't have backwards compatibility and I don't want to buy a PS2 again this works out great!
Also: GoW = GOD of War. Gears of War tried to steal it's acronym...

$30-$40 would be perfect.
It fvcking better have these improvements: Not having a sub-HD engine, but instead REAL HD graphics and not having every single edge have massive jaggies.
As far as gameplay goes, I have a feeling Reach will have more of a large warzone setting but broken up with small squads. Halo 3 is mainly made up of small squads/teams in both campaign and multiplayer but I think Reach will have more of a bigger battlefield comprised of multiple smaller squads. I think it looks fine. It can be hot pink and sparkly as long as it doesn't cramp my hands like the damn Wii remote.
One time I surfed the internet using the Wii's browser for about an hour and when I was done, I literally could not let go of the controller! I had to use my other hand to pull the remote out of my grasp. It like temporarily paralyzed the nerves in my hand. Now I'm scared to hold on to the Wii remote for long periods of time.
2010 is getting a little too crowded. I'm gonna spend like $240 in a month and a half on video games :/
The MGS series has always had great story telling and MGS4's is better than a lot of actual movies.
